STUDY: Brain Health Can Improve Into Your 90s With Consistent Effort

Research tracking nearly 4,000 adults ages 19 to 94 over three years found brain health scores improved steadily across all age groups when participants actively engaged with cognitive training tools.

The study measured thinking skills, emotional well-being, and social connection every six months. Participants who used daily training modules and coaching sessions most frequently showed the greatest improvements, regardless of age, gender, or education level.

Those starting with the lowest brain health scores demonstrated the steepest gains. Even participants who initially showed low engagement but increased their participation later saw significant improvement by the 12-month mark

The study challenges assumptions that mental decline is inevitable with aging, suggesting brain health remains changeable throughout life when people consistently use targeted cognitive tools and strategies. Story URL
